When Senator Warren stopped in Des Moines earlier this month, lines of people waiting to see her crawled around blocks of downtown buildings. Crowds were larger than expected so we were not all able to fit into the event center. Instead of letting us go, Ms. Warren moved into an alley and with a terribly hoarse voice greeted us, speaking for minutes and answering questions. It was an absolutely diverse group of people who eagerly showed up: gender, race, age, ethnicity.
